Huh.......She's Gone

Wow.  Hmmm?  I don't understand.  She's Gone.   MOLLY?  IS?  GONE?
Yep she left on Saturday. And oh dear I think that it was one of those things that you know is coming but don't necessarily want to come so.....you just push that thought back and back into the dusty corners of your mind. And then WHAMMO!!! it comes and hits  you with the force of a freight train at full speed. Yep I pretty much was squashed by that train on Saturday. Now....I know that she'll be back in like three days to see  Josh Turner but still..... Wow.

SETH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So today I'm pushing Seth on the swing ....oh he just makes me happy.....and he made me feel like the most loved swing pusher person ever. All the time he is saying things like 'yippee' and 'whoopee' and 'yay' and 'whoohoo' and 'yeah' and then out of the blue he says
S: What is your named again?
L: Lacey...
S: Hi Lacey my names Mario.
I almost peed my pants from laughing he is so CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!

DC....Finishing

So.... as you all know I went to Washington DC and had a grand time, yet I have been to lazy lately to finish those off...
On Thursday we stayed home during the day  but at night we went to see to monuments at night. We went to the Lincoln Memorial and I was struck by a quite profound thought as I looked up at Mr. Lincoln. He is the man who stopped slavery. Every African American in the U.S. is free because of the Emancipation Proclamation. This guy was not only good in character and moral he was good in heart too. We also saw the Vietnam, Korean, and WWII War Memorials. The Vietnam was very quiet and peaceful. I felt so blessed to live in America, to be able to make my own choices, to be free.....and I am part of all of that because of these men and women who died for our country. I got to ponder on the blessings I have. Tears were on my cheeks as I thought of all of the family-both extended and immediate- that were and are affected by the deaths of the soldiers.  The Korean Memorial kind of creeped me out.... the faces that were etched in stone are just another reminder of how exactly terrifying war is. The WWII was very beautiful. Sort of a shrine to all the people who died.
Friday: on Friday we went to dolphin beach and had an awesome time! I ♥ the Hatches!
Saturday: We went home. I loved it !It was so fun ! Thanks to The Hatches for so graciously hosting us. I had a blast!

Wenesday

Chronicle #3
•Washington Monument. Also called by the boys the 'Washington Umomoment'. Fabulous name right? It had a fabulous view. You know on all of those postcards with the White House the house is set upon beautiful hills with nothing but sky to surround it? Well that is a lie and a truth at the exact same time. It actually has visible buildings behind it, but hey, it is set on quite the hill. You could see the Lincoln Memorial, but the lake in front of it was drained.
•After the Monument we went to the Bureau of Printing and Engraving, and that was pretty stinking cool. We got to see the new 100 dollar bill, plus all of the money being printed and such. It was pretty cool, but you aren't allowed to take pictures on the tour, so that was a bit of a bummer.

☺ Hugs and Love to all at home and family!

Tuesday

Chronicle #2
TUESDAY!!!!!!
•Smithsonian Natural History Museum.  There were so many animal and fossils and all things nature here and I thought that it was pretty stinking amazing. The first thing that we saw were the Oceanic creatures. there was a huge giant (repetitive word choice☺) squid that was like 36 feet long. Then there was this super-humongous blue whale that was really cool. It made everyone look like a dinky little dwarf people. After that we went to the dinosaur fossils. The coolest thing there was the fish that swam in water and walked on the mud and dirt. (went to go pick up Benjamin and this was what Colton typed-the coolest thing there was a cousin of mine named Colton. After that, there was a butterfly exhibit that paled in comparison.) Next was the butterfly exhibit and there were butterflies EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!! It was really cool because you actually got to be in a terrarium with all of the butterflies. We went to the gift shop where I bought gifts for two little girls that live in Idaho + Mom and Dad.

•Old post office building. We got to go to the top and had a truly awesome view of all of D.C, plus a little more.

•Smithsonian American History. Original Kermit the Frog. Fonzie's (Happy Days) leather jacket. Dorothy's ruby red slippers.  One of the first Dumbo Car rides from a newly opened Disneyland. The works.
Love it here. Miss you all at home!

So....

Chronicle #1
Monday
•Library of Congress. Super interesting. People might think that there are so many places to be in D.C. , why be in some old library. This opinion may be slightly biased, as I am a particular fan of books (this goes to show when I did my thesis paper in language class on books)but the Library was about as historically (?) cool as it gets.

•Supreme Court Justice.  Quite cool, and we listened to a lecture on the court  that had stuff that you would never know about. Like that when this architect guy built the building, he didn't think that the Supreme Court's library would fit into the room, so he left extra room above the courtroom for the overflow books. After several years, the people who worked there cleared it out and brought exercise equipment in. Then, someone brought in a ball and hoop, thus starting a basketball craze. After that, they asked for a full sized basketball court, and it appeared. So, the Supreme court has got a full sized b-ball court above their heads. However, even though there is a court, workers are only allowed to play after 5:30 because otherwise everyone can hear the ball bouncing.

•Capitol Building. Jenny got us a really cool tour by one of her friends named Noelle. It was super cool to see all the work that had been put into it so many years ago. It was so pretty and it had all of these beautiful ceilings and marble floors and just was pretty stinking breathtaking.
1st day in D.C. ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!

I just HAPPEN to be......

in Quantico, Virginia.  With Jenny.  And Eric.  And Isaac and Seth and little bitty Benjamin. And Colton, who just HAPPENS to be here with me.  And oh dear, to those who are reading this from faraway (like Idaho-which HAPPENS to be 4 hour airplane ride from here) I just HAPPEN to be extremely glad that I brought a suitcase filled entirely with shorts. And T-shirts.  Because, not to be a braggart, it is so warm here I sweated on a 40 minute downhill mini-hike, whereas in Idaho I would have possibly gotten hypothermia. To those who don't live in Idaho, I was exaggerating a little. Alright, more than a little. Kind of a lot.  But let us not dwell on my ,uh, fibs. But only when I'm exaggerating. I never ever lie, ever, even when they are little fibs.
So....I just HAPPEN to have decided to update you, every day. This Chronicles is called My (+Colton's) Adventures in Washington D.C. ☺

Easter! : )

Ahhhh. Easter. You've come and brought actual spring-y weather and I am currently as in love with you as any person can fall in love with a season.  I was so very excited and still am very excited about you. Ahhhhhhh.
I got a few thing that I am still very excited about and am still a little phsyicked about having.
Thing one: A new pair of black church shoes!  One word.......CUTE

Thing two: A new pair of white church shoes! Two more words :Really CUTE!!!!!

Thing three: The usual,my Easter basket!

Now,I know that I was asking could this day get any better and yes,it most certainly did.     Because for the grand finale..........I got..........thing 4!!!!!!!!!!!

My chicky chicky.......Ursula!

Ya I am informed of the fact that Ursala is the evil sea witch in The Little Mermaid, but the thing is that I really didn't name her (Mom did) but when I was little and we lived in Utah, I loved baby dolls and I carried them everywhere and I am thinking now that if I said this sentence I would totally run out of breath. (Hee-whoo) : ) Well when I loved baby dolls ( not that I don't now) I had one named Ursala so I guess that  my little chick's name is just a little memory.  But hey even if you can't get past the name her cheeps are so  stinkin' cute I could almost eat her every time I see her.
Hannah has one too and her's is named Tilly. After our leprechaun. Yeah........
Hannah also informed me that when they were going to get the chicks (quote) " I thought-ed that we were going to get chickens to eat not  baby chickens!"
This is Tilly.
And here they are just cuddling to each other. *Sigh*
